Instruments and Capabilities


The Emory Nuclear Magnetic Resonance (NMR) Research Center houses six solution NMR spectrometers available for structural determination, biomolecular research, and advanced spectroscopy needs.

The facility supports researchers in multiple disciplines and provides state-of-the-art equipment for groundbreaking studies.

 

VNMRS 400

The VNMRS 400 is equipped with a 4-nuclei probe capable of running 1H, 19F, 13C, and 31P experiments without tuning.

INOVA 600

The INOVA 600 is equipped with an indirect detection broadband room temperature probe with Z gradient (Variran 600 ID PFG). There are also a triple resonance probe and a 3mm broadband probe for this instrument.

Temperature range: 130°C to -100°C.

Bruker AVANCE III 400

The Bruker AVANCE III 400 is equipped with a 5mm BBO (Broadband without 19F) probe and an ATM (automatic tuning module). 1H / 31P-15N are automatically tunable. A 60-slot SampleXpress is installed to enable automation and high throughput.

Temperature range: -40°C to 100°C.

Bruker AVANCE III 600

The Bruker AVANCE III 600 is equipped with a 5mm BBFO Cryoprobe Prodigy with Z gradient. The frequency range from 15N-13P, 1H, and 19F. With ATM (auto-tuning) box installed, the probe is able to be automatically tuned to observe 1H and 19F on high band and over a frequency range that enables observation of nuclei between 31P and 15N on low band. It also has a 24-slot auto sampler which enables the instrument automatically running day and night.

Temperature range: -40°C to 85°C.

Bruker AVANCE NEO 400

The Bruker AVANCE NEO 400 is equipped with a BBFO (Broadband with 19F) i-probe and and an ATM (automatic tuning module). It can be automatically tuned from1H/19F to 31P-15N and has a 24-slot SampleCase for automated experiments using Iconnmr.

Bruker AVANCE NEO 800

The Bruker AVANCE NEO 800 is equipped with a 5mm triple resonance cryoprobe with fluorine capability (TCI H&F/C/N-D) and 2H decoupling and a BCU I for variable temperature experiment. A cooled 24-sloted SampleCase (sample changer) with an Automatic Tuning Module (ATM) on the probe makes the instrument to run samples automatically.

Temperature range: -40°C to 85°C.
